Dauntsey's Bulletin no. 70
Friday 8 September 2017
Head Master's Notices
It is very good to be back and open again after what I hope was a very good summer for all of you. There are lots of new faces here at school; we are welcoming 161 new pupils, 70 of which have joined our boarding community.
Whilst many are beginning their school journey with us, we are also delighted that 96% of 140 applicants from last year secured their University places, and although they have left school grounds, they have now joined our active community of Old Dauntseians.
I hope that everyone, pupils and staff settle quickly and easily and I look forward to seeing you at school events over the course of the year. The first Mercers’ Lecture is next week on Thursday 14 September, when Alex Thompson will kick off this year’s programme. Please see details below.
A weekly bulletin will be circulated to all parents every Friday and I hope that you continue to find it helpful to have all school notices and reminders in one place. We will be sending out a letter next week with a commentary on summer exam results and activities, and do please keep an eye on our website too for regular news stories.
