Dauntsey's Bulletin no. 77

Friday 3 November 2017

Head Master's Notices

I hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing half-term break.

The first week back has seen our delegates depart for the Model United Nations in The Hague. For three days the participants of ‘MUNISH’, numbering over 1,000 last year, join to debate, discuss and consider issues that influence the world today. I hope that they enjoy a conference to remember.

Next week Steve Backshall, the television presenter, author and wildlife expert, visits on Tuesday 7 November for our next Mercers’ Lecture. As a result of huge interest, he will now deliver his lecture twice, once at 5.30pm and then again at 7.30pm. Please contact Reception if you would like tickets, but have not already booked online as a few seats remain. Also next week we have our First Form Parents' Evening on Friday.

Looking further ahead, I would like to invite parents, pupils and friends of the School to our Remembrance Day Service, on Sunday 12 November at 10.45. Coffee and drinks will be served in the Dining Hall immediately after the service.

Tomorrow there is hockey against Churcher's College and rugby against Prior Park College.

I look forward to seeing Fifth Form parents at the Sixth Form presentation this evening. It takes place in the Memorial Hall and supper will be served in the Dining Hall afterwards for everyone. I hope that you all have a good weekend.
