Sixth Form Scholarships
For Sixth Form pupils, the School offers a number of Academic Scholarships and Sport, Performing Arts and Boarding Awards.
With the exception of Boarding Awards, Sixth Form Academic Scholarships and Awards are available for both day and boarding places. All successful candidates for Awards will be expected to meet the Sixth Form entry requirement of a minimum of three A and three B grades for I/GCSE. Please note that under the new grading system we consider a level 7 the equivalent of an A grade and a level 6 the equivalent of a B grade.
Scholarships and Awards carry remission of a maximum of 10% of the School fees. Scholarship supplements are available for those who need additional financial help with the school fees and are subject to means testing.
The academic assessment consists of written examinations and an interview. Candidates sit written papers in three different subjects of their own choice from the following list:
All papers are 1½ hours. Overseas candidates may sit the papers at their current school by arrangement and an interview will be arranged at a mutually convenient time. Please see examination guidelines for each subject here - subject guides
Applicants must show a record of academic excellence and are expected to achieve a majority of A* grades for I/GCSE (or equivalent).
