Third Form Boarding Scholarship Programme (Year 9)

Only Boarding Scholarships are offered at this stage. Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the Scholarship exam and interview held at the end of February.

Details of these Academic Scholarships areas follows:

• The Mercers' Scholarship - the highest academic award that merits 50% remission of fees.
• The Millennium Scholarships - further academic awards for up to 50% of fees.
• A significant number of smaller academic scholarships are also awarded.
• The Desmond Morris Science Scholarship - awarded to an outstanding scientist on the basis of interview and examination (up to 50% remission of fees).

There are a further range of Scholarships available to all boarding applicants for Year 9 places:

• The Batten Sports Scholarships - awarded to an outstanding sportsman or sportswoman (up to 50% remission of fees)
• The Jolie Brise All-Rounder Scholarships - awarded to a boy or girl who will bring many positive qualities to the School, both academic and otherwise (up to 50% remission of fees)
• Awards for Art, Music (including free instrumental tuition), Drama and Design Technology are also available.

For 2013 entry, scholarship examinations and interviews will be held during the week commencing 218th Feburary 2013.

In all cases, application is made by registering a pupil for the School and then completeting the Scholarship Entry Form.
