Sixth Form Entry

Applicants are encouraged to attend an Open Morning to hear a presentation from the Director of Studies on the Sixth Form at Dauntsey's and to meet current Sixth Form pupils.  Alternatively, applicants are welcome to contact the Admissions Office to organise an individual visit to the School, including a meeting with the Registrar and a tour of the School with a current Sixth Form pupil.

Entry Procedure

Pupils must be predicted three A grades and three B grades at I/GCSE . Please note that under the new grading system we consider a level 7 the equivalent of an A grade and a level 6 the equivalent of a B grade.  We recommend registration early in the Autumn Term of a pupils Year 11 as we request a report and reference from current schools at the end of October.

Places are offered on 1 December each year. Additional places may still be available after this date and potential applicants are invited to contact the Registrar, Jo Sagers for information on place availability.

Those who will not take I/GCSE papers may take our own entrance examinations in: English, Maths and a General Paper. Arrangements can be made for overseas pupils to take these examinations at their current school, at the offices of an agent, or at the British Council.  Applicants will also be interviewed either during a visit to the School or via Skype.

Academic Scholarships for Sixth Form entry take place in November each year. For entry in 2018, examinations will take place at Dauntsey's on 8 November 2017 and the closing date for applications is 13 October 2017.

Boarding Awards and awards for Sport and Performing Arts are also available through interview or audition in the week commencing 13 November.
