Pupils at Dauntsey's also compete in a range of other sports including rifle shooting, equestrian, squash, badminton and cross-country.
Rifle shooting has gone from strength to strength and the School's shooting team competes in the British League with regular fixtures against schools such as Marlborough College and Abingdon. Pupils from across the years are given the opportunity to shoot at the local range throughout the week.
The School equestrian team has also been very successful and competes at various events throughout the year. In 2012, Dauntsey's hosted an Inter-Schools show jumping competition at the West Wiltshire Equestrian Centre, with over 250 competitors.
Dauntsey’s also has a thriving squash and badminton programme, with fixtures against other schools and internal competitions. The School employs coaches who offer one to one lessons in squash and badminton, as well as running open club sessions each week. The Badminton Club also host the Mid-Wilts Restricted Tournament which runs over an entire weekend and sees many schools and clubs taking part.
Cross-country runs throughout the year with both individuals and teams entering area and county competitions. Each year a number of our cross-country runners go on to represent the county at regional and national level.
The School also offers a huge range of clubs and societies with several sports clubs including triathlon, trampolining, fencing, judo and archery. Please follow this link to find out more about clubs and societies.
