What A Difference Opportunity Makes

In 1542, William Dauntesey recognised the transformative power of opportunity. In his will, he entrusted The Mercers’ Company with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining a school and almshouses in West Lavington. Today, that vision remains at the heart of Dauntsey’s.

Ensuring that as many young people as possible - both our own pupils and those beyond our school - benefit from life-changing opportunities is core to who we are.

How you can support...

Recent government decisions have placed increased financial pressure on our ability to sustain our work across all of these areas at the level we aspire to.  Without additional support, continuing to make this impact will become significantly more challenging.

This is why we are reaching out to our wider community.  Every contribution, whether a small monthly gift, or a one-off donation, makes a real and lasting difference.

The 1895 Club & The Olive Society

The 1895 Club brings together those who give modest, regular gifts, demonstrating the power of collective generosity to create life-changing opportunities. Members receive updates on their impact and invitations to special gatherings.

The Olive Society recognises those making significant contributions or leaving a legacy gift, with donations directed to areas of personal significance—whether bursaries or capital projects. Members are kept closely connected to the school and honoured in a way that is meaningful to them, including at the annual Olive Society Lunch.

Together, these communities help shape the future of Dauntsey’s.
