Exam Results 2021

Our pupils have achieved very impressive exam results this year in both their A level and GCSE examinations.

For A Levels, students achieved a very impressive 64% A or A* and 88% A*- B.  Many congratulations to all of our Upper Sixth Formers on these results. Although this year's results were not generated by the usual public examinations process, our pupils still deserve tremendous credit for them, since grades were calculated on the basis of each pupil’s work throughout the course, combined with rigorous internal assessments in May. The Teacher Assessed Grades were produced in line with JCQ policy through our approved moderation process.

Of 135 university applicants, including pupils who left in previous years, 96% were immediately able to take up places at their chosen universities, with 92% at their ‘firm’ choice and 4% at their ‘insurance’ choice. The most popular destinations were Cardiff, Exeter, Manchester, Newcastle, Bath and University College London. In addition, pupils also secured places at Oxford, Cambridge, in the USA, Hong Kong and Spain as well as one pupil who has secured a coveted degree apprenticeship.  A further five leave to pursue Art Foundation courses.

"These grades reflect the ability, commitment and resilience of this outstanding year group who were every bit as impressive in the classroom as they were out of it.  I thank them for their tolerance, positivity and good humour along the way and wish them all the very best as they move on to their next adventures.  We will all miss them, as well as their parents who provided unwavering support and so much encouragement for them throughout their time at Dauntsey’s".

GCSE Results 2021

Congratulations to our Fifth Formers on an excellent set of GCSE results.  An impressive 33% of all entries were at grade 9, 57% at grades 9-8 and 77% at grades 9-7, while there were also many other successes beyond those top grades.

“I would like to congratulate all of our 119 Fifth Form pupils on these outstanding results. Even though these results were achieved in bizarre circumstances, this talented year group worked extremely hard to earn their individual grades and deserved to do well.

Finally, my thanks to the teaching staff for their hard work and dedication, in what has been a very demanding year”.
