The Chaplaincy

A Christian ethos underpins the community and life at Dauntsey's.

Our Chaplain leads Sunday and weekday services as well as a weekly service of Holy Communion. They are there to support pupils from all faiths and those of no faith with an aim is to foster deep-rooted spirituality and moral values in all of our pupils.

During the week there are services aimed to engage pupils of different age groups, and there are regular mid-week services for the whole School. The school gathers for important days such as Remembrance and the Carol Services are always a special end to the year.

Boarders have a short informal service in school most Sundays. At the beginning and end of the year there are special services at All Saints’ Church in West Lavington to which day pupils and all parents are warmly welcomed.

A Confirmation Service is held annually at Salisbury Cathedral. A preparation course is held by the Chaplain for those who wish to consider Confirmation as part of their spiritual development whilst at Dauntsey's.
