Scott

Lower School Day

Boys & Girls, First to Third Form

Scott House was established in 1986 and is named after John Scott who taught English at Dauntsey's from 1934-1969. The House crest and accompanying motto Bien ou Rien came from Mr Scott's great- grandfather, the architect Sir Gilbert Scott.

Scott has a history of excellent cross-country runners who have won the Inter-House Competition regularly since 1996. The House walls are covered in photos of house events and competitions spanning many years.

Every year a number of Third Form pupils are elected as House, Sports or Music captains as well as representatives who sit on the School Charity Committee. These pupils are encouraged in their roles to help with the day-to-day management of the House. Scott prides itself on its friendly atmosphere and is a popular meeting place for many Lower School pupils.
