Head Master's Notices

Last night's tremendous Spring Concert was a fitting finale to the term, although my sense is that it has ended just in time as tiredness and stress have hit!

As the holidays begin, pupils are heading off in all directions, with the Sixth Form Art Trip to Florence, the tennis tour to Portugal, the football tour to Eindhoven and the RS and History trip to Krakow already on their way. Tomorrow sees the departure of the Lower School Ski Trip to Pila in Italy, while the Sixth Form German trip to Berlin departs on Sunday 8 April, and there is a Trek to the Stones and two Jolie Brise cruises.

During the holiday break, on Friday 30 March, our Devizes to Westminster team will begin paddling from Devizes to Westminster. The race starts at Devizes Wharf from 8am and finishes at Westminster Bridge very early on Easter Monday. Any support along the way would be welcome and greatly appreciated and please do sponsor them if you wish, as they are raising money for this year’s school charity. Good luck to everyone involved.

I wish you all a restful and enjoyable Easter holiday and thank you for your support this term.

Manor Matters

A second fall of snow last weekend saw our hardier Manorites back outside playing on the sledges and building snowmen…the less hardy amongst us enjoyed a cosy day of films and Prep! Unfortunately, the adverse weather meant that we had to postpone ‘Manor’s Got Talent’ until Monday evening, but it was worth the wait; the audience were treated to a variety of acts from dancing, to singing and card tricks – well done to ‘The Two Ryans’ who were crowned the winners.

On wednesday evening our ‘Manor Legends’ enjoyed a takeaway Chinese meal for supper – they thoroughly deserved the treat for being such great Manorites this half term. Yesterday afternoon we had the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and several of our pupils then performed in the Spring Concert.

I hope that you all enjoy a super Easter, and I look forward to another happy and action packed term after the holiday.
