Dauntsey's Dodecahedron 2019
The Dauntsey’s Dodecahedron is a highly respected annual maths competition. The competition sees over 900 able mathematicians, from over 50 schools across the south west region, participating in the preliminary round. The competition is open to pupils aged 12 or under on the 31 August 2019.
The preliminary round takes place at the participating schools with pupils sitting an hour-long multiple choice paper of 32 questions. The papers are marked by the competing schools from materials supplied by Dauntsey’s and the results should be submitted by Wednesday 1 May 2019. An online form will be available on this page once the Preliminary round has taken place.
Finals day - Thursday 20 June
A finals day will be held at Dauntsey’s on Thursday 20 June for around 30 of the most successful pupils. The day will start at 9.30am and finish at 3.00pm with lunch provided. Please note that finalists will need to make their own transport arrangements.
To obtain an invite to the finals day is a significant achievement in itself, and although competitive, the emphasis of the day will be on enjoyment with everyone taking part in a variety of maths challenges, games and investigations.
Schools with invited finalists are requested to complete the online form by Monday 20 May here.
