Exam Results 2018
Our pupils have achieved excellent exam results this year in both their A Level and GCSE examinations.
For A Levels, 48.3% of the grades were at A*/A and 77.2% were graded at A*/A or B. This is a very fine return for our 124 pupils who sat 402 examinations.
Leading the way were Rini Banerjee, Tilly Matcham Bear and Luke Padfield, who all achieved three A* grades, while Rini obtained a further A grade too. An impressive 27 candidates attained a clean sweep of A*/A grades.
Of 133 university applicants this year, the vast majority (nearly 80%) were able to take up their first choice of university, with Cardiff & Exeter the most popular destinations, closely followed by Bristol and Birmingham. 70% of places are at Russell Group or Times Top 15 Universities.
In addition to UCAS courses, some pupils will be pursuing alternative routes including Degree Apprenticeships (Jaguar Land Rover), EDT Year in Industry Placements (Rolls Royce), City based Internships (JP Morgan), Art School Foundation Years, European Art School placements, and other exciting Gap year placements in this country and around the world.

I am delighted with this year’s results, which are a fitting reward for the considerable efforts of our pupils and staff. I would also like to thank parents for the support and encouragement that they have provided over the last few years at Dauntsey’s."head master, mark lascelles
