GCSE Results 2024

Congratulations to our Fifth Formers on a strong set of GCSE results.

Of the 1271 entries, 64% of all grades awarded were 9-7 with 21% being grade 9, and 99% achieving grades 9-4.  The single sciences fared particularly well with an average of 80% grades 9-7, and dance are celebrating 50% of pupils achieving a grade 9.

Three pupils achieved a straight set of 9s, with a set of twins achieving 19 Grade 8 and 9s between them.  There were many other individual success stories, and we congratulate all pupils on their achievements.

Watching and sharing in the successes and highlights of this year group over the past two years has been an honour, and it is wonderful to see hard work rewarded with some fantastic GCSE results this year.  I wish all of the pupils the best as they move into the Sixth Form in September.

WILL WALKER, ASSISTANT HEAD (MIDDLE SCHOOL)

At Dauntsey’s, we believe there is so much more to a great education than examination results. That said, academic results are an important indicator of learning, and a vital stepping stone as young people prepare for the wider world. I am therefore very pleased for this year’s GCSE cohort as they celebrate strong GCSE results.

They are clearly a very talented group of young people, who have managed to balance a busy and demanding GCSE schedule with an impressively wide variety of extra-curricular pursuits.

These results provide a firm foundation for Advanced Level study, and I look forward to working closely with this group as they continue to deepen their learning, whilst embracing all that a Dauntsey’s education has to offer.
