Sailing Programme 2025

Monday 31 March - Friday 4 April (5 days sailing, 4 nights on board)  

Cruising from Hamble in any direction, possibly France and the Channel Islands, depending on the weather. However, there will be a lot of training, so that the students can complete the RYA Competent Crew Certificate if they wish to do so.

Monday 7 April to Friday 11 April (5 days sailing, 4 nights on board)

Friday 23 May to Thursday 29 May (7 days, 6 nights on board)

This half term cruise will start and finish in Hamble, hopefully visiting France and the Channel Islands or the West Country. The Summer half term cruise is another opportunity to experience an extended cruise on Jolie Brise, with the option of completing the RYA competent crew qualification.

Sunday 6 July - Saturday 12 July  (7 days)

Starting in Le Harve, Jolie Brise’s birthplace in 1913, this trip kicks off the start of the Tall Ships Races 2025. You will be joining a fleet of other ships racing around the North Sea for 4 days, finishing up in Dunkerque for the crew parade and party, prize giving and all the festivities that go with a tall ships host port.

This is a short cruise but will have lots fun in two different tall ships ports with some intense racing in between. For more info take a look at the Tall Ships Website.

Please note: as this is a Tall Ships Leg, students must have had their 15th birthday by the start of this trip.

Saturday 12 July to Monday 21 July (10 days)

A serious Tall Ships Race all the way up and across the North sea. This is one for the more adventurous crew member. We would expect, but can't promise, fast off the wind sailing with the anticipated prevailing winds. A great entry for your RYA log books, a minimum of 400 NMs will be logged. Taking in two Tall Ships Ports and enjoying the legendary hospitality of Aberdeen at the end. In previous years they have been exceptional Tall Ships hosts, putting on brilliant trips and activities for all the ships trainees. Have a look at their website – Aberdeen 2025.

Monday 21 July to Friday 1 August (12 days)

A bit of everything for everyone this cruise. First a short race dashing across the North Sea and then cruising along the North Danish coast, before exploring the Southwest Norwegian Fjords. Finally sailing into the Skagerrak Sea to rejoin the fleet in stunning, beautiful Kristiansand. This cruise really has it all, Tall Ships racing and socialising with lots of other Tall Ships, Danish Vikings, Norwegian Vikings, everything! Friday 8 August - Monday 18 August (11 days) 

Sailing out of Esbjerg with the rest of the Tall Ships fleet, cruising gently Southwest, conditions permitting visiting the Danish Islands of Romo and Fano. Hopefully visiting the stunning Dutch Friesland Islands. With the right weather, coming through the inland water of the Ijsselmeer, in company of other tall ships. Then visiting Amsterdam with some time for sightseeing, before crossing the North sea to cruise the fabulous creeks and rivers of the East coast of England. This cruise offers North Sea sailing, gentle inland waters, small sandy islands and the big City of Amsterdam.

Monday 18 August to Monday 18 August (9 days)            

This cruise is suitable for all, with some days in port, some short-day sails and some slightly longer legs. It will start with a quick 24-hour sail across the North Sea to arrive in Ijmuiden. To Join the 800 strong Tall Ships fleet sailing the 30 miles up the North Sea canal to Amsterdam. This is the most amazing maritime spectacle to take part in, you will remember this forever. After a few days exploring Amsterdam, we will sail South along the Dutch and French coasts, stopping along the away at numerous ports before a quick dash across the channel to finishing in Hamble.
