Last weekend saw the Manor Marathon back in action, after have to run as a virtual event for the past two years.

It was a momentous and special day as 14 Dauntsey’s pupils were confirmed into the Church of England at a ceremony conducted by the Bishops of Sherborne and Ramsbury at Salisbury Cathedral.
Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 9 – 15 May. Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation annually, the focus for this year’s campaign is Loneliness.
Blue and yellow were the colours of the day last Friday as pupils and staff supported a fund-raising campaign from Lower Sixth Formers Ophelia and Sydney to support Ukraine.

The topic of Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) took centre stage this week as Justine Wall, our EDI lead presented to both staff and pupils about the journey we will be undertaking in the coming months and years.
Next week, the tree management programme on the school drive, Lime Avenue, will recommence and the remaining lime trees that have yet to be pollarded will be cut back in line with the other trees.
There was great excitement in school earlier in the term when we welcomed All Blacks rugby legend Sean Fitzpatrick who came to deliver a Mercers’ lecture.
It has certainly been a busy and rewarding year so far for our Partnerships team, who have worked to develop a full programme of events and activities, involving a number of local schools in the area.
