It has been wonderful to see some new faces in the school grounds recently, engaging in many different sports and activities as part of our Partnerships Programme, run by Gay Butterworth.

Former BBC China Editor Cattie Gracie visits Dauntsey's

Last week we were treated to an inspiring lecture from Carrie Grace, former China Editor for the BBC.  Carrie has had a fascinating career, spanning more than three decades with the Corporation.  In 2013, she was appointed BBC News’ first editor for China, based in Beijing.  She resigned from this role in 2017 in protest at unequal pay by the BBC and has since spoken widely about both China and gender equality.

An unforgettable evening with Lord John Bird

This week we welcomed John Bird MBE to the School for our second Mercers’ Lecture of term.  John, along with Gordon Roddick of The Body Shop, launched The Big Issue in 1991, to campaign on behalf of homeless and socially excluded people. 

Table Tennis Success!

The new table tennis season has got off to a flying start, with many boys and girls enjoying the Wednesday afternoon club and improving their skills.

Wellbeing Week

This week marks Wellbeing Week across the School.  World Wellbeing Week is a yearly campaign run by Wellbeing World and aims to raise awareness of wellbeing and explain why it matters.  Developing a good wellbeing is important for everyone as it means we are happy and fulfilled.  Thinking about how we maintain good mental health from an early age is so important for us all.
