Dauntsey's Choral Society

Over forty-five years ago, for the sheer pleasure of it, a group of staff, pupils and parents got together one afternoon to sing, this evolved into the Dauntsey’s Choral Society. Over time they have collaborated with other choirs celebrating the opening of new buildings, and as fundraisers for local churches and causes. Most importantly, the Choral Society provides valuable support to Dauntsey’s own school choirs as they discover the joys and challenges of the great choral masterpieces. In the past these have included major works such as Handel’s Messiah and Four Coronation Anthems, Requiems by Mozart, Faure and Rutter and Carmina Burana to name but a few.

We always welcome new members, no audition is required, but it does help to have some musical knowledge. We are a four-part choir (soprano, alto, tenor and bass). Rehearsals take place during school term time at Dauntsey’s School on Monday evenings 1930-2100. Please contact the Choral Society secretary at dauntseyschoralsociety@gmail.com.
