Head Master's Notices
I think that you have heard quite enough from me over the last couple of weeks; please do review the letter that was sent out today which gives an update on the School's closure and some useful detail on logistics.
Many thanks again for your continued support and I send my best wishes for next week and for the Easter Holidays.
Whole School Notices and Reminders
Further to the Head Master’s communications about our plans for teaching while the School is closed, pupils can use this link for further information about our arrangements for remote learning.
- Instructions for using Microsoft Teams, in both written and video form
- A list of online learning resources that pupils may find helpful to supplement the work set by their teachers
- Our Remote Learning Policy
As detailed in the above policy, pupils are expected to follow their normal school timetable as far as possible. However, we do appreciate that there will be exceptions to this, particularly in the case of pupils in different time zones.
Pupils should complete any work set via Firefly, and submit it when requested. They should also join in with sessions on Microsoft Teams, or view the recordings later if they are unable to participate ‘live’. Pupils are even able to view recordings of other lessons to boost their learning further.
Please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to deliver the best education possible for all pupils in these unprecedented circumstances. If you have any questions or concerns then do get in touch.
Very best wishes to you and your families.
Deputy Head (Academic)
Lower Sixth Exams
Given the uncertainty about when schools will reopen, we have taken the decision to postpone the Lower Sixth exams that were due to take place in the second week of next term. They are likely to take place at the start of September instead, although that is not yet confirmed.
Please have a look at our digital noticeboard here. It is our own online community to connect Dauntsey's parents and businesses in order to buy, sell and advertise to each other in one trusted place. If you'd like to place an advert here, please email email@example.com

Lower School Notices and Reminders
The Manorites were disappointed not to be able to travel to visit HMS Victory and Gunwharf Quay last weekend, but many of our Lower School boarders made the most of the spring sunshine and enjoyed some time playing outside. On Sunday, the kitchen was turned into a Pizzeria, and the pupils created some delicious delights for their own lunch.
This week has seen lots of packing, more packing, and then some more packing…the Manorites are almost ready to leave today, and they are all excited about the prospect of some ‘remote learning’.
My staff and I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your support throughout the term (and particularly in this past, rather extraordinary week) and wish you all a happy and healthy break. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me, or your child’s tutor, if you have any concerns or questions.
Anne Sampson, House Mistress.

First Form Computer Science Challenge
The First Form Computer Science Challenge deadline has been extended until midnight on Friday 27 March due to the disruption caused to Computing lessons this week. It is hoped that pupils will find time to attempt the challenge over the coming week if they have not already done so.
If pupils have not yet received their individual userID and password, they should contact their class teacher or Mr Fraser via email.
The challenge can be accessed at https://www.mrfraser.org/challenge/
